Backstory

When I was involved in the recruitment process for hiring an Associate Product Manager at my company, I faced a huge challenge that felt painfully familiar to anyone who has ever been part of hiring.

We had to go through every resume. To save time, we applied hard filters – years of experience, colleges, etc. Even then, we ended up spending hours (sometimes days) manually reading resumes, shortlisting, and second-guessing if we were missing out on good talent.

And the pain didn't end there.

Once resumes were shortlisted, HR had to manually call each candidate, coordinate schedules, and then sync everything with my availability for interviews. There were endless back-and-forth loops of communication, and what should have been a smooth process turned into a frustratingly inefficient system.
